A UNIQUE IDEA

Dental ED began five years ago when Emanuel Recupero (CEO) discussed the concept with a well-known orthodontist in Melbourne, Australia.  Emanuel, a university-trained microbiologist, worked in hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry before setting up his own consultancy firm in 1997. His aim was to help doctors and dentists to generate higher returns from their expertise.  He recognised the need for dentists to access higher quality professional training opportunities featuring local and international lecturers.  Today, Dental ED is among the largest study club service in the world with numerous sites in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Canada .

HOW DENTAL ED WORKS

The Dental ED model is unique and continually refined to keep pace with the dentists' needs and demands. At its core, Dental ED is a study club where dentists get together after office hours for a social and networking event that provides an opportunity to hear high profile speakers present cutting edge dentistry.

Groups are set up in two ways. Dental specialists purchase the program and invite referring dentists in their local area, or study clubs of independent dentists share the cost as a group. The lectures are transmitted LIVE and INTERACTIVE online using state of the art technology. This format allows dentists to access cost effective, high quality lecture material without the need to travel or lose time at their practice. Dental ED is available to dentists anywhere and everywhere. On-demand playback service is also available for dentists who cannot attend the live lectures

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

A computer (desktop or laptop) with a stable internet connection is vital (although ADSL or cable is not essential) and audio visual equipment (projector, speakers, and microphone) is required to set-up a venue.
Robust software ensures high-resolution images and a video and audio transmission without break-up or interference.
