Photography is powerful in dentistry, its numerous applications such as diagnosis, treatment planning, legal documentation, publishing and lecturing has made digital photography a standard of care in modern dental practices.

Recently, smart phones have come a long way in digital photography due to recent technology development and new devices like Smile Lite MDP (Smile Line, Switzerland) were designed especially to help everybody to have high quality pictures using their mobiles.

The purpose of this course is to demonstrate the capacity of these devices to take high quality dental pictures. Those pictures are useful in different types of documentation and communication, in a feasible teachable and repeatable way, by everyone and for everyday practice.

Overview

In this course you will learn how to use your mobile phone camera to take high quality portrait pictures and micro dental pictures for both patient and lab communication. Also you will learn how to take stunning dental videos to assist with case acceptance.

Dr Jordi Manauta

Jordi Manauta was born in Mexico City, where he graduated cum laude. in dentistry from UNITEC (Universidad Tecnológica de México) and apprentice of Dr. Miguel Angel Tamés (Mexico) and Dr. Walter Devoto (Italy). He continued his postgraduate studies in Operative and Aesthetics Dentistry Master in UIC (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya) in Barcelona. He is visiting professor in the Siena and Marseille University. He has developed various materials and instruments for aesthetic dentistry and photography in collaboration with international companies. He is the author of the book Layers (quintessence 2012). Scientific consultant for two European Journals. Author and co-author of many publications in international journals, he is frequently invited as a lecturer on these topics. He is dedicated to his private practice.

Dr. Anna Salat

Born in Barcelona, Dr. Anna Salat graduated with a degree in dentistry from the International University of Catalonia (UIC) in Barcelona. She continued her postgraduate studies in implantology and esthetic dentistry, earning a Master’s Degree from UIC. Dr. Salat is particularly interested in conservative dentistry and esthetic restorations and lectures internationally on these topics. She has contributed with articles to a number of international journals and she is also the author of the book Layers (Quintessence 2012).

Dr Maxim Belograd

Is the founder of BELOGRAD Academy. He is one of the most well-known international lecturers and trainers in a field of advanced microscope, aesthetic, restorative dentistry and endodontics. He visited more than 40 countries with practical courses and lectures as speaker, and doctors from more than 70 countries took part in the BeloGrad Academy project. Maxim Belograd is the first lecturer from the CIS who provided courses on 5 continents and successfully presented his educational pro- grams. Lectures and presentations were con- ducted during prestigious dental congresses and conferences as well as individual «solo» formats with attendance from 100 to 3000 par- ticipants. Hands-on sessions were provided in certified BG training centers all over the world.

Dr Enrique Diaz Guzman

Dr Enrique Guzman has given more than 90 courses 17 in 4 Different Continents between 2014 –America, Europe, Asia, Africa And in 2015-2017 he was the International Speaker for the MicroVisionGroup, Ivoclar Vivadent, and BAIRD British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry.In 2011 Dr Guzman completed a Diploma in Implant Surgical of Prosthetic Autonomous from the University of Ciudad Juarez | UACJ and a bachelor of Dental Surgeon in 2009 from Autonomous University of Baja California | UABC.In 2015 Dr Guzman received the Excellence in Prosthodontics Award by the AIOP " Asosiación Italian Prosthetic Dentistry " and APS "The American Prosthodontic Society " AIOP ceremony at the 34th International Congress and 88th The Annual Meeting of the American Prosthodontic Society. He also holds the Digital Smile Design Certification DSD Master with Christian Coachman for Mexico City.Dr Guzman received his Diploma in Implant Surgical - Prosthetic Biotechnology Institute Mexico City and his Specialty in Prosthodontics from the Intercontinental University, Mexico City in 2015.

Prof Louis Hardan

Prof. Louis Hardan, head of the restorative and esthetic department at Saint Joseph University Beirut-Lebanon. He graduated dentistry in 1989 and continued his post-doctoral education at Saint Joseph University; he obtained a certificate for basic science in 1993, he completed his specialization in restorative and esthetic dentistry in 1995, and completed his PhD in oral biology and materials in 2009. He was an active member of the Lebanese dental association (2006-2009) and was assigned as a general secretary of the LDA in 2009. At the present, he is an associate professor at Saint Joseph University and owns a private practice in his home town Jbeil. He is an active international Styleitaliano member. Prof. Hardan has many publications in international journals and has given several lectures on esthetic, restorative dentistry and mobile dental photography.
