Description

It is very common to see wear on the front teeth. Dentists immediately think the patient is grinding their teeth. There are many reasons why we see abrasion, wear, and chipping of the teeth and unfortunately, this issue will persist and get worse, even with a night guard. Understanding how to diagnose and, when it is necessary, to intervene with these patients is critical. Figuring out what is the best treatment plan for the patient is equally as important.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Understanding the different forms of wear.

• Knowing the modifying factors of wear.

• What is a constricted envelope of function?

• When to use interdisciplinary vs. restorative intervention.
